Rosehip seed oil (Rosa canina) is used in serums, balms and facial oils because of its high polyunsaturated fraction — predominantly linoleic acid and alpha-linolenic acid. That fatty-acid profile only survives if the oil is pressed gently and protected from oxidation from press to drum.
