Cold-Pressed Rosehip Seed Oil — Cosmetic-Grade Bulk from the Carpathians
Cold-pressed below 40C, high linoleic and alpha-linolenic content, peroxide value documented per lot. EU-Organic and COSMOS options, quotes in 24h via TANDOR.
Rosehip seed oil (Rosa canina) earns its place in serums, regenerative balms and post-procedure skincare because of its unusually high polyunsaturated fraction — predominantly linoleic acid and alpha-linolenic acid, with trans-retinoic acid precursors that formulators have built brands around for decades. The functional profile only survives, however, if the oil is pressed gently and protected from oxidation from press to drum.
TANDOR sources cosmetic-grade rosehip seed oil from Romanian pressers working with Carpathian-harvested seeds, separated from the shells used in the herbal-tea trade. Pressing is done below 40 degrees Celsius on dedicated cold-press lines, with the crude oil filtered and either supplied as virgin unrefined (deep amber, characteristic herbaceous note) or as a lightly refined cosmetic grade for formulators who need a paler, more neutral input. Every lot ships with a Certificate of Analysis covering fatty-acid profile by GC, peroxide value and acid value (critical shelf-life indicators), heavy metals against EU cosmetic limits, and microbiology. COSMOS-approved and EU-Organic certified material is available where the brief requires it.
Standard packaging is 25 or 190 kg food-grade HDPE drums, nitrogen-flushed for oxidation control, with smaller 5 kg amber-glass or aluminium options available for both sampling and pilot batches. Lead time on inventory is typically two to three weeks; organic-certified lots may run longer. We work with cosmetic manufacturers across Western Europe on annual contracts and one-off project quantities — share your peroxide-value ceiling, refining preference and target volume, and we will respond with a costed offer and DDP routing within one business day.
